The best place to check first before buying ships is to see if there is an active "Pack Sale".  These packs contain ships from the latest and greatest galaxy, ensuring you get the most use possible out them.  You can always check on NeftyBlocks to see if there is a direct sale open:<br>

At this point we are assuming you have a basic idea of how to play Cosmic Clash and are ready to make some purchases. Since the "active ships" rotate each season, we can't give specific ship lists that you should buy. Always check the Master Ship List before making buying decisions, try not to buy from any Galaxies that are on their way out.

Lowest Cost Entry

If you are looking to buy in for the least possible, you should get a set of 6 common ships. These will allow you to play the seasonal leaderboard to earn a little FGL as well as allow you to be competitive in the first weekly event each season which is limited to commons. As discussed in Getting Started, you should pick a "theme" for your fleet and go with it. A missile only fleet will probably be your most effective bet, but it will also be more expensive than going with a projectile/corrosive fleet.

Here is a search on ALL common ships:
https://wax.atomichub.io/market?collection_name=cosmicclashx&data.rarity=COMMON&order=asc&primary_chain=wax-mainnet&schema_name=starshipx&sort=price&symbol=WAX

But remember you MUST check the Master Ship List and only select the active galaxies for them to work.

Mid-Sized Entry

If you want to be competitive in more of the weekly events, and win some ships on the seasonal you are going to need a decent set of rare ships. Similar to commons, you should pick a "theme" to go with. Missiles, Projectiles, Projectile/Corrosive, etc.

Here is a search on ALL rare ships:
https://wax.atomichub.io/market?collection_name=cosmicclashx&data.rarity=RARE&order=asc&primary_chain=wax-mainnet&schema_name=starshipx&sort=price&symbol=WAX

But remember you MUST check the Master Ship List and only select the active galaxies for them to work.

Top Tier

If you want to start moving into the top tiers of the seasonal leaderboard, you will need to add Epics as well as fully leveled rares. It takes 15 copies of the same rare ship to create a max level rare, and 4 copies of an Epic. Be sure to use the simulator to "test" your idea against other fleets before purchasing.
